A few weeks ago I uploaded the picture below in protest at Obama’s lack of supporting the international land mine ban and I posted a comment on his myspace page saying as much with the picture embedded in it.

MySpace Safety & Security”
Now clearly the photograph is real and upsetting, but come on any 13 year old should be able to see that. Especially compared to the photo’s up on many other profiles that are sexual or violent. Simply put the Obama page is the only one to have the pic posted on it (pending their approval of my comment) and now it is removed from my photos in my main profile by Myspace. There is something about this that stinks.
Of course I don’t know exactly what happens but it is very suspicious indeed and if Obama’s Myspace team are going to these lengths to silence protest on such an important issue then I am disgusted. Though one little irony is that if Myspace are supporting them in doing this is that Myspace is owned by Rupert Murdoch owner of Fox News.
Anyway Obama’s position on not supporting the land mine bad is unacceptable. Most of the world’s nations have signed up and the ban is designed to save lives. Thirty-seven states, including the People’s Republic of China, Cuba, Egypt, Finland, India, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Syria and the United States, are not party to the Convention (is that the kind of company the USA wants to keep on this?). I can no longer offer Obama my support until this position is changed. And I would like to see more people joining this campaign. Of course it was fashionable in the day Princess Diana was the spokesman for the campaign on the ban. But those days are long gone.
Forward this on to as many people as possible as we cannot tolerate this kind of political censorship. Some people need to read the first amendment.
